Day 2

Morning with Bears & Afternoon at Riverfront Lodge
Your second and final day in the Lake Clark wilderness with coastal brown bears. Spend the morning enjoying hot coffee, hot chocolate and your new friends as they wander about the meadow and work to put on the all important coat of fat they will need for the coming winter. After lunch you'll board the bush plane for the return flight to the main lodge, then settle in to your riverfront rooms. You'll have some relax time prior to your first happy hour, dinner and evening activities at the riverside main lodge. The kids can go to our private fishing hole and learn to fish from our "Beach Guide" and enjoy an evening campfire with S'mores.

Day 3

World Class Guided Salmon Fishing
Rise early in the morning for a day of Salmon fishing on the world famous Kenai River. 4 anglers per guide will drift, troll or cast for the world's largest King, Silvers, Sockeye or Pink Salmon, depending upon the season. A great day on one of the world's great rivers. Lunch served "Al fresco" on the river, returning to the lodge in the afternoon. There will be time to relax before family-friendly happy hour and dinner. (non fishers can substitute Wilderness Lake Kayaking).

Day 4

Choose Glacier & Wildlife Cruise or Offshore Halibut Fishing
Today, you'll enjoy a great day offshore- choose from a day of offshore Halibut Fishing aboard our fast, six passenger boats in Cook Inlet or Resurrection bay... or instead select a day of Kenai Fjords wildlife cruising to see Orca, Whales, Sea Otter, puffin and more. Either way, we'll return to the lodge in the late afternoon just in time for happy hour and dinner. This is an amazing day, and year after year we are told that the offshore day (whether fishing or cruising) is one of the most popular experiences for our families.

Day 5

Wilderness Hiking
Alaska has some of the finest hiking in the world, and the Kenai has some of the Alaska's best. Families with younger kids may choose a moderate walk in the wilderness ending with a raised platform to see salmon leaping towards their spawning grounds, while those with energetic teens may select an aerobic hike to a peak to view glaciers, mountains and the Alaska Range in the distance.. it's all your choice and your guide will go over our options the night before to ensure that you choose the best trip for you.

Day 6

Scenic Bald Eagle Float
Alaska is the home of the mighty Bald Eagle, and this great scenic float offers the opportunity to see these majestic birds on and around their nests along the turquoise waters of the Kenai River. Of course, Moose, Brown and Black Bear and other Alaskan wildlife call this area home as well, so there is no telling what all you'll see on this beautiful float! Return to lodge in the afternoon for happy hour, dinner, evening fishing hole with campfire and overnight.

Day 7

Morning of Fishing or Refuge Paddling
For your final day, you may choose from a calm water paddle upstream to our riverfront tent camp on the moose river. The Moose river meanders through the Kenai Wildlife refuge, and we'll hope to see Moose, nesting Tundra Swans or even the Lynx that call this area home. Or, or join our guides for one last day of Salmon or Trout Fishing. Whichever you choose, you'll Return to lodge at noon, with check out at 2:00. Return to Anchorage by commuter air from our local airport, or charter float plane direct from the lodge (return flights not included in package price).
